Can you believe there are just three months left in the year? This is a special moment to reflect on our achievements and focus on goals that will bring us a sense of fulfillment.
It’s a time to close certain chapters while also opening ourselves up to new opportunities. We can prioritize our health, nurture relationships with loved ones, and appreciate every small step that brings us closer to our dreams, so we can enter the new year ready for a fresh start!
One of my main priorities for the upcoming months is to continue and complete the projects I’ve started—both professional and personal. I want December 31st to be a day when I can look back with pride on my achievements as well as the lessons learned from failures this year. Completing these tasks is not just about closing certain chapters; it’s also about creating space for new challenges and perspectives in the coming year.
I want to avoid repeating the same situations I face every year!
This is also a great time for personal growth and investing in myself.
I’m proud of my efforts—I’ve put significant work into my podcast and blog, documenting and exploring topics that challenge me. I still have one course planned for this year to further develop my social media skills and my personal brand.
I’m also focused on my health—both physical and mental. Regular physical activity, a healthy diet, and relaxation are my top priorities. It’s not just about appearance; it’s fundamentally about how I feel and the energy I need to pursue my plans. This year, I stopped drinking alcohol. I’ve never been a heavy drinker, but I would occasionally enjoy a few glasses at social gatherings. After my 45th birthday, I decided to part ways with alcohol for good (I hope!). Since mid-year, I’ve been working hard to ensure that old habits, places, and people no longer affect me.
In terms of physical activity, I’ve been less consistent over the past nine months, as my body needed more rest and recovery after years of survival mode. I’ve introduced calm and relaxing yoga into my routine, which helps me unwind, focus on myself, and relax.
I’ve learned to listen to body’s signals. I trust my intuition; it always tells the truth!
A body and mind that have been burdened for a long time need a lot of downtime when they finally enter a safe and peaceful space. I’ve started going to bed earlier and sleeping more.
I no longer burden my body or push myself beyond what I need. I’m learning to organize my day so that there’s time for everything. Small steps also lead to big goals. Everything at my own pace, as I’ve seen many times what happens when I speed up and take on more than I can handle—it wrecks my physical and mental health. After all, a healthy mind resides in a healthy body.
Taking care of myself is crucial, especially in the context of building relationships and spending quality time with loved ones. My relationships with my children and family are a priority for me. I strive to regularly spend time with family and friends. These moments help us strengthen bonds and create memories that will last a lifetime.
I always wish for everyone to have good people around them because that’s very important. Humans are made for community, and we’re happier together. It’s vital to have people who uplift us, support us, and share in our happiness, as well as those who stand by us in times of doubt and suffering. I’m fortunate to have a few good souls who are always there when I need them. This support is even more essential when living abroad, helping navigate daily challenges.
For my children and me, the end of the year is also an intense time together.
The holiday season is approaching, along with preparations for Christmas and the start of the snowboarding season—moments that always bring joy and closeness. We engage in a lot of sports and share a passion for it. Intense training and shared travels are opportunities for mutual support and being there for one another. Building deeper family relationships and working through tension and stress is the key.
As the year comes to a close, the practice of mindfulness is crucial for me. It has taught me to maintain inner peace and balance. Incorporating mindfulness techniques into my daily routine has become as natural as making my bed each morning. I dedicate 10-15 minutes each day to meditation, both morning and evening, which helps quiet my mind, manage stress better throughout the day, and improve my sleep quality at night.
During tense moments, deep breathing helps me immensely—focusing on proper breathing provides instant relief. I combat ongoing fears and anxieties with the 4-2-8 breathing technique. When that’s not enough, I elevate it to 4-4-4-4. These methods always work, even at night when I wake up and can’t fall back asleep. Prayers and intentions, as well as focusing on gratitude for each day lived, also support me.
In the morning or evening, depending on my day’s plan, I practice journaling. I’ve done this for years, but recently it has become a regular habit. Pouring thoughts, memories, or dreams onto paper is a unique moment spent with myself—just for me. Writing in a journal helps me understand my emotions and set goals. It allows for self-reflection and better emotional management.
Each day, I write down three things I’m grateful for. This helps me focus on the positive aspects of life and appreciate what I have. A gratitude journal is another way to remind myself how beautiful and valuable our lives are and how worthy we are as individuals.
By celebrating small successes each day, we build greater self-confidence and motivation for further progress. I appreciate the little achievements that contribute to the bigger picture of my life. Celebrating these small victories helps me maintain a positive outlook. To support this process, I reward myself for achieving small goals—it’s a great way to stay motivated.
Sharing joy from successes enhances our sense of fulfillment and energizes us for further efforts. We should never shy away from being proud of ourselves, enjoying our own joys and happiness. If we can celebrate the successes of others, we show that we’re not in competition but rather support one another. This creates an atmosphere of mutual trust and inspiration. We learn that everyone has their own path, and others’ successes can motivate us to take action as well.
It’s important to remember that life is not only our personal journey but also a shared adventure with others. By nurturing these values, we become more open, empathetic, and ready to act for ourselves and others.
Mutual support and joy in others’ achievements are keys to true growth. So let’s always remember to celebrate these moments, as they build bridges between us and make the world a better place. Let’s support one another and learn from each other!
The last 90 days of the year can bring significant healing. Every moment counts. The final months of the year are the perfect time to focus on wrapping up important tasks, starting new projects, and nurturing our health and relationships. It’s also an excellent moment for personal development.
Practicing mindfulness and celebrating small victories help us maintain balance and a positive mindset, allowing us to welcome the new year with hope and joy. This year has taught me that if you don’t change anything, nothing will change.
I don’t want to repeat the same habits and mistakes that have added no value to my life. I want to grow and work on myself, striving for a happier and more fulfilling life. Every second matters in the pursuit of becoming a better version of myself because it leads to a more joyful existence.
The only thing I regret is not starting my journey of self-improvement earlier, instead of sweeping problems and past issues under the rug. That only led to poor decisions and repeating the same mistakes. Every age has its own rules, and every stage of life brings different experiences. It’s essential to appreciate all moments, celebrating the good and treating the bad as homework in the school of life, ensuring we don’t repeat them.
Remember, the measure of intelligence is the ability to change!
Let’s embrace this transformative power and make the most of these last months.
Together, let’s work towards a year filled with growth, fulfillment, and shared happiness. Here’s to finishing the year strong and stepping confidently into the next chapter!
